With almost two decades working as an actor, Michelle Blundell has appeared in many local and international productions, winning critical acclaim for her performances, including her portrayal of Louise Nicholas in the award-winning Consent - The Louise Nicholas Story directed by Rob Sarkies (Out of the Blue, Pike River).

Other screen highlights include roles on television’s The Brokenwood Mysteries, Shortland Street and Piece of My Heart. Michelle recently performed in A Minecraft Movie, directed by Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite, Nacho Libre), and Briar March’s award-winning short film I See You.

A graduate of Unitec’s School of Performing and Screen Arts, Michelle has worked extensively on stage including productions with leading producers of theatre in Aotearoa: Silo Theatre, Auckland Theatre Company and Plumb Theatre.

Michelle has learnt from some of the industry’s finest acting coaches and teachers, including John Markland, Howard Fine, Miranda Harcourt, Brita McVeigh and Les Chantery.

She is currently in pre-production for the short film Little low, written by Michelle, directed by Kate McGill and produced by Rachael Blampied.

She is a proud Equity New Zealand member represented in Aotearoa by McLeod Management and Word of Mouth.
