Michelle Blundell is a New Zealand actor and voice artist with extensive experience working in film, television and theatre. Based in Auckland, Michelle is represented by McLeod Management and Word of Mouth.

RECENT WORK

Michelle’s recent work includes the international blockbuster A Minecraft Movie, directed by Jared Hess and the New Zealand premiere of Joanna Murray-Smith’s Three Little Words.

She has several projects in development, including the short film Little low.

SCREEN

Michelle has received acclaim for her screen work, most notably in Rob Sarkies’ award-winning Consent - The Louise Nicholas Story. Other screen highlights inlcude The Brokenwood Mysteries, Shortland Street and Piece of My Heart.

STAGE

Michelle has worked extensively in New Zealand theatre, including productions with Silo Theatre, Plumb Theatre and Auckland Theatre Company.

VOICE ARTIST

Michelle’s acting training and professional experience allows her to bring versatility, directability and warmth to her work as a voice artist. She is able to perform numerous accents and a wide range of characters.

Michelle is an experienced reader who understands how to help an actor relax, play and deliver their best work. Available online or in person to create self-tapes and prepare for auditions, Michelle tailors these sessions to suit the unique needs of the actor.

As an experienced actor, Michelle is able to support preparation and readiness for online and in-room auditions. She works with other actors to develop their authentic connection and embodiment of character, and to deepen their sense of self-trust.

With a strong focus on building a supportive and safe screen sector for children and young people, Michelle is experienced in working with child actors as a qualified and trusted on-set chaperone for tvcs, film and television.
